So far I haven't found any problems with it. It has each chord in multiple positions up the neck, which was what I was looking for. I just wanted to let everyone know that there are two versions of this book in different sizes. This is the larger one. The chords are really big, which is great if you want to be able to see them at a distance. Of course that means that you have to negotiate several pages for each key and that it's not good for throwing in you case. I don't see that as a problem but you might.
Print version is a small book that easily fits in my case. Each chord is shown in the most common position along with two alternatives. It has most of the chords you will ever need.The format is easy to use. You can quickly find the chord you want.I use this a lot. In both electronic and print versions.
Super cheap (costs less than a six pack). Small enough to fit into the pocket of my gig bag. No extraneous tablatures (a bane for those of us who took the 30 seconds to learn how to read a musical staff). And it is organized fine: all the permutations of the C chord are in the "C" section. I don't understand all the static this book gets for its format. Perhaps if you're used to the smart phone and other media it is inconvenient to turn to the page with your information on it, but I don't detect any problem. For example I wanted something to jazz up an Ab blues progression. I turned to the Ab section and there were all my augmented and diminished chords ready for me to try. My only complaint is the cover. Why a garish spruce ukulele? I would have preferred a more sombre, darker wood such as mahogany or cherry.
I bought this along with the Hal Leonard Ukulele Method books One and Two. I've found it helpful in finding alternative fingerings for chords and also for the brief explanation of chord structure theory.
It does exactly what I need it to. It has a crap ton of chords most of which my fat baby hands cant do yet, but it's a great small book thats easy to put in a uke bag.
Book layout is cumbersome and makes it more difficult to find chords. Sad!
Bought this for Grand daughter and as always Hal Lenard books are superb.
Not only does this book have an easy to access chord listing, it also has information about chord construction.
