Great book! All other positive reviews were true. The author explains how each system works, how wear happens, what maintenance should be done and how to do it, including what tools you'll need for this. The reading is enjoyable and feels like a conversation with the author and there are lots of photos in color and diagrams (very detailed). The author is honest about this book and tells you that you'll need your motorcycle's service manual in order to apply the knowledge he provides in the book applied to your machine. I'd buy it again a dozen of times!
Amazing writing and excellent explanations. Great for people of all ages and experience levels. The expert may not get as much but it is a definite requisite to any mechanic's bookshelf.

I was looking for a great motorcycle maintenance book and just couldn't find anything current. When I saw a fresh date (2016) on this one, I bought it. But it appears to be just a reprint (Printed in China, by the way) of the 2004 version. A lot has changed since 2004, so my search continues for a good, modern motorcycle maintenance book.
