So, now we're dealing with more danger, more dragons and a new location. That didn't bode to well. However, with friends, teamwork, skill and magic, Kaylee and company had to make it work. I like how there's confidence in her family, growing confidence in her abilities, and now growing confusion related to her life (and a romantic complication being almost force on her) and expectations. The growth in her abilities and why was a fascinating idea. I can't wait to see how that plays out in book 4 (yes, I pre-ordered it).
My Daughter and I read the books at the same time to talk about the adventure. Can't wait for book 4, the final in the series.
Wow just wow, I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this series. I forget that I am reading about teenagers and it flows so smoothly that I get sucked into Kaylee and crews plight and then suddenly it's over, just like that!I There is so much action and each of our crew has matured and grown so much throughout this series I feel like I know them. Jeepers what can I say about this book that won't give anything away!!?! OMG the feels, I want to punch things, I want to smile, I want to shout with anger. The world building and the creativity that goes into this series just astounds me. We are constantly introduced to new and crazy things and I can never see guess what's going to happen next. I absolutely love our group of fighters and I want to fight right alongside them, I want to jump in a run alongside them as they go from one adventure to the next. This series is brilliantly done and if you have not started it and are reading this review I strongly advise you to start it now. This is not typical YA with crazy love triangles and whishy washy feelings, this is action and terror and grit and what it looks like when you fail to roll over and give up. I have a hard time critiquing this book, I want to just rant and rave about how amazing it is and yet I will say THAT END........don't leave me hanging like that! I hold onto hope that they will prevail and it that we will see what has passed, fixed ya know . Gahhhh kudos to you Sean Fletcher I cannot get enough of this series and am looking forward to Book four. Bittersweet as I cannot wait to see what will happen but do not want it to end.I received an early copy and voluntarily reviewed it.
kindle unlimited, been reading these, and it's almost as bad as watching a 90210 teen angst attempt but imnho don't see where teens are in real life supposed to be such shallow airheads, and said that both times have my tablet or other read doing the book for me vocally but at pretty high speed for most other people, so only thought that it wasn't as much in the second one compare to the first, but...they're BAACCCKKK, so I dropped it by one star, because it's taking too much away from any type of story line and wedging in the 90210 junk when it doesn't need to be to that extent in the first place, I've read other books in their other series but serioulsy don't remember this, this bad, and while thought about a 3, with amazon that is a negative review, according to amazon but no one else, so stuck with the 4 even though, for me, it only ended up 'okay' but not the way they mean it, I just been didn't luv it, didn't overly liked it O-kayIn the caverns beneath New York City, an ancient evil is about to rise… The Herald has returned, and with him the Slayers are one step closer to summoning the Hunt and destroying Kaylee and the rest of the dragon-kin. The adventure continues in this third book of the Heir of Dragons series. I liked this story as much or even more than the previous ones. Kaylee, Jade, Edwin, and Maddox continue to find trouble—or trouble finds them—no matter what. It’s hard to remember they are still teenagers, considering all they’ve gone through. Of course, we get to see more of Alistair and Randy, plus some new characters have been added. In this story Kaylee is attacked by a real dragon; Jade faces the Tamer test; Kaylee and Edwin have to work on their relationship; Slayers and the Herald are searching for something that will destroy all the dragon-kin. Not everything is as it seems. You will find drama, suspense, betrayal, and death in this story. I just hope the sadness at the end will change in the next book. If you like dragon shifters, strong characters, excitement, and more, this story is for you. I look forward to reading the next and final book in this series. I received an advance reader copy of this book, which I have voluntarily reviewed and given my honest opinion.
